How do I register for the SOUL Iconic Drive planned for 3-12 August 2018?
  1. If you are an existing SOUL member, then to register for the Drive
    • Please log onto: soul.tatamotors.com - fill in the registration details followed by making the payment for the drive.
    • You can also contact us by sending a mail at soul@tatamotors.com or call us at 022-4033 6060 between 10AM to 6PM (Mon-Sat).
    • After making the payment, please share the transaction details with us for confirmation via email at soul@tatamotors.com
  2. If you are not a SOUL member, then to register for the Drive
    • Please log onto: soul.tatamotors.com to sign up as a SOUL member first, then you can fill in the registration details followed by making the payment for the drive.
    • You can also contact us by sending a mail at soul@tatamotors.com or call us at 022-4033 6060 between 10AM to 6PM (Mon-Sat).

Where can I find the itinerary?
The itinerary is available on the SOUL Website (soul.tatamotors.com).
What are the start and end dates?
The drive begins on the 3rd of August (Friday) at Chandigarh and ends on the 12th of August (Sunday) at Leh.
Is there a drive being arranged to reach the venue?
If you would like to drive along with other Tata SUV owners from your city, please do let us know and we will try to put you in touch with other SOUL members driving to Chandigarh. Else you can also drive solo and meet us at Chandigarh directly.
If I am unable to get my own vehicle, will Tata Motors provide a vehicle from their end?
For the purpose of the drive starting from Chandigarh, you can also opt to use an SUV arranged by Tata Motors at Chandigarh if you are travelling from a distance of more than 500 kms from Chandigarh. Any fuel, toll, maintenance and breakdown repair charges will have to be borne by you. Please inform us at the time of the booking, that you wish to opt for a Tata Motors arranged vehicle. You can drop us a line at soul@tatamotors.com or calling us on 022-4033 6060 for exploring this option further.

If you choose to use a Tata Motors arranged vehicle for the drive, you could drop off the same either at Chandigarh or at Leh. If you choose to drop off the same at Chandigarh, we can facilitate stay for you at Manali and Jispa on the return journey from Leh to Chandigarh.

Can my friends and family come along for the Drive?
This event is for Tata Safari/HEXA owners and their friends and family only. Kindly inform us how many members will be joining you on this drive in the RSVP link. If you’re registering with one SUV a maximum of 4 persons (Adults/ Children) can be a part of the group. Seats are limited and will be provided on first come first serve basis.

Please note: Children less than 10 years of age are not recommended to attend this drive due to high altitudes of the region.
What are the expenses for the Drive?
There are packages for three types of customers:
  • Those who drive in their own Tata SUV
  • Those who opt for using a Tata Motors arranged SUV and drop off the vehicle at Chandigarh
  • Those who opt for using a Tata Motors arranged SUV and drop off the vehicle at Leh


The package rates (incl. GST) are as below:

For instance, if 4 people are attending the drive, opting for a Tata Motors arranged SUV, to be dropped off at Chandigarh and choosing to stay on double sharing basis, package cost is Rs 195,000 (Rs 110,000 + Rs 85,000).

Further, if you opt to use a Tata Motors arranged vehicle and will be dropping off the same at Chandigarh, we can facilitate stay for you at Manali and Jispa on the return journey from Leh to Chandigarh, at the below rates, inclusive of breakfast and dinner:

What does my package cost for the Drive, cover?
The package includes the details covered in the Drive Deck. This drive deck is available on the website, i.e., soul.tatamotors.com.

Costs for activities not included in the drive deck will have to be borne by you. Eg: river rafting, room service, alcohol, laundry and incidentals, extended package for Manali and Jispa on the return journey from Leh to Chandigarh in case you are opting to use a Tata Motors arranged vehicle for the drive that you choose to drop off at Chandigarh. These charges need to be paid for directly to the resort / other vendors on spot / at the time of check-out.

Any fuel, toll, maintenance, breakdown repair charges and expenses for lunch en-route during the entire trip are to be borne by you.
What should I expect at the event?
The itinerary is action packed, and we’re spending a considerable duration of the day on the road. We expect the drive to be rigorous and tiring to a certain extent, but definitely full of fun, adventure and enjoyment.

The drive is designed to help you enjoy the road, and still add joy to the experience at each destination. You will get to experience serene mornings, natural vistas, mountain life, local culture, and get an insight of Northern India. Few exciting experiences planned for you are:
  • Explore the Land of the mystic Lamas – Ladakh – in all its glory, from lush green valleys to snow-capped brown mountains
  • Drive over 1,300 kms in the company of like-minded people through some of the toughest terrains in the country
  • Pass through the Kulu and Manali curves on the way to the majestic Rohtang Pass, the gateway to Ladakh
  • Drive through some of the highest mountain passes in India, 4 of them located at altitudes of 16,000+ ft
  • Enjoy the unparalleled beauty of Pangong Tso, its colours changing depending on path of the Sun
  • Local food and culture – from Butter Tea to momos to maggi on the highways and a food experience at a local’s home in Alchi. What’s more, learn to cook Ladakhi food in a local cooking class at Leh!

What's the weather like in the mid of August?
During this time, Leh is an unparalleled paradise, with clear, stunning views, warm and sunny weather – the average temperature range is about 5–32°C. However, we recommend you carry enough sun protection (sunglasses, sun screen & caps) and warm clothes (jackets/ windcheaters) as the weather may change during the course of our drive.
How long would I be driving for each day?
The average speeds in the Mountain region are a lot different than on National Highways, and each leg of the drive would likely take us about 3 to 9 hours to cover as per the distances mentioned below:

What are the roads going to be like?
You will be driving through high mountain terrains. The roads can be challenging at some places. Driving with caution is recommended, especially if you haven’t driven in such terrain earlier. Though a 4x4 is preferred, a 4x2 with some skilful driving can keep you in good stead too.
What do I need for the drive?
Even though we’ll share the list of items before the trip, we suggest you carry the below things for sure. Apart from the spirit of adventure, love for your Tata SUV, stories to share of your past travel, and a zeal to meet new people, you would need:
  • Comfortable, waterproof shoes: comfortable pair of waterproof trekking and walking shoes
  • A Windcheater / Umbrella
  • Mosquito repellent (must have), Insect repellent and / or soothing lotion for insect bites
  • Sunscreen & a Sun Hat / a Visor / Dark polarized sunglasses
  • Band Aids & Medical kit
  • Moisturizing lotion
  • Woollen clothing for temperatures as low as 5 degrees
    • Sweaters / Warmers / Jackets
    • Woollen socks / gloves
    • Woollen cap / head gear
  • Medicines to be carried: Diomox/Avomin tablet for high altitude nausea, Crocin, ORS/Electrol, Eno, Disprin/Asprin, Band Aids, Thermometer, Adhesives, Alcohol based sanitizer, Tensor Bandages, Antiemetic
  • Any other personal medication, as needed
  • Camera & chargers / batteries: you may not want to miss out on some moments!
  • Original and copy of your ID card along with two photocopies of the same, credit card numbers and toll-free numbers in case of credit card loss
  • 3 passport size photos

How will I receive confirmation of participation for the Drive?
You will first have to Register / RSVP via the website (http://soul.tatamotors.com). After you RSVP, we will call you to confirm regarding the details, and to solve any queries you may have regarding payment.

Your participation at the event will be finalized once a payment is made and upon receiving an email confirmation and a phone call from our team with your reservation & confirmation details. You are requested to carry out your Flight bookings, travelling plan etc. only post receipt of the confirmation from us.

Do please note again that a successful payment transaction does not confirm your seat on the drive or availability of Tata Motors arranged vehicle for driving. Please wait for confirmation communication from Team SOUL regarding these before proceeding to make any travel or other arrangements.
How can I make the payment for the drive?

Terms and Conditions for SOUL Iconic Leh Drive Aug 3-12, 2018

Organisers   • Tata Motors Limited (TML) has authorized The Blueberry Trails & Direxions Marketing, to organize the SOUL Iconic Leh Drive Event, and its related activities. Direxions is authorized by TML to receive payments from participants for the drive.

Attendee   • The below-mentioned terms & conditions are applicable to participants of the SOUL drive being organized from Chandigarh to Leh, for which they have made a payment of agreed amount to Direxions. These participants are referred to as “attendee” or “client”.

Hotel   • The Blueberry Trails/Direxions/ TML has made best efforts to procure the best hotels available in the price range keeping comfort and convenience of the guests as per the itinerary as priority and have been selected based on strong internal assessment.

  • While the Blueberry Trails/Direxions/ TML will make best efforts to ensure the delivery of services that are to be provided by the hotel, The Blueberry Trails /Direxions/ TML acts as a facilitator for the attendee and the hotel and shall under no circumstance accept any responsibility for inadequate/deficient/negligent services provided by the hotel. The Blueberry Trails /Direxions/ TML shall not accept any complaints from the attendee with respect to services provided by the hotels and that any grievance or complaint shall be directly lodged with the concerned hotel management.

  • The attendee shall be liable to make good any damage(s) caused by any act of the attendee (wilful/negligent) to the property of the hotel in any manner provided by the hotel policy. The extent and the amount of the damage so caused will be as determined by the concerned hotel. The Blueberry Trails /Direxions/ TML shall not intervene in the same in any way.

  • Any associate of TML/ Direxions/ The Blueberry Trails, including but not restricted to vendors – Print, Audio Visual, Production, TML Dealers – is not eligible to attend this drive. TML reserves the right to cancel/withdraw drive participation of any customer who is found to be an associate of the mentioned organizations and its decision in this regard would be final and binding.

  1. Meals & Special Requests
    • The menu for all meals is pre-set as per the package.
    • The Blueberry Trails /TML reserves the right to change the menu if circumstances necessitate such a change without any prior notice to the attendee. If the client does not avail the meals (as offered in the menu) for any reason, then no claim can be made for the unutilized meal against The Blueberry Trails /Direxions/ TML.
  2. Itinerary
    • The Blueberry Trails /TML takes all reasonable steps at the time of finalizing the itinerary for the attendee to ensure that the itinerary is as per the convenience and comfort of the attendee. However, The Blueberry Trails /TML reserves all the rights to effect any change in the itinerary due to any reasons that The Blueberry Trails /TML may deem fit for effecting such change and that The Blueberry Trails /TML shall not be bound to take any prior permission or give prior notice to any attendee before changing the itinerary. In the event of a change in the itinerary, The Blueberry Trails /TML will inform the client accordingly at the earliest possible time.
    • The Blueberry Trails /TML will inform the attendee in the event of any change in the itinerary of the attendee post departure in the domestic tour, which is beyond the control of The Blueberry Trails /TML. A change to the itinerary will be made considering all the factors that any prudent person will do from the attendee’s convenience, safety and comfort perspective. The Blueberry Trails /TML shall not accept any responsibility and shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for any loss that an attendee might suffer consequent to such a change.
    • The Blueberry Trails /TML reserves the right to claim any additional expenses because of delays/changes in the itinerary, caused by any reason whatsoever including but not limited to natural calamities, prohibition orders, local unrest, traffic jams, medical emergency, accidents, etc.
    • The Blueberry Trails /TML reserves the right to without prior notice amend, alter, vary or withdraw any departure, excursion advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed advisable or necessary.
    • In the event the attendee misses out on any activity on the drive due to delay on his part, The Blueberry Trails /TML shall not be held liable to refund the money paid for the same or in any other manner whatsoever.
  3. Vehicles
    • Attendees are expected to bring their own vehicles for the Drive and ensure that the vehicle is fit, serviced and technically ready for the Drive. Attendees shall also have to ensure that their vehicles are driven by individuals lawfully licensed to drive the vehicle.
    • Subject to availability of vehicles, attendees would also have the option to use a Tata Hexa or Tata Safari arranged by Tata Motors, if they so wish, for the duration of the drive, if they are travelling from a distance of more than 500 kms from Chandigarh. The vehicle would be available at Chandigarh and shall have to be dropped off at Leh or Chandigarh as desired by the customer post the completion of the drive. For the same, member needs to inform us at the time of booking, and TML will revert with confirmation after checking for vehicle availability.
    • Attendees shall use the vehicles, whether Tata Motors arranged or their own, in adherence to the itinerary and route instructions of the drive coordinator.
    • It is responsibility of the attendee to check the condition of vehicles, whether Tata Motors arranged or their own, at the beginning of the drive and to highlight concerns, if any, with Tata Motors arranged vehicles. In the event of any breakdown of a vehicle during the drive, whether Tata Motors arranged or attendee owned, it is the responsibility of the attendee to arrange for an alternative vehicle. Further, besides repair costs for damages caused to the vehicle, whether Tata Motors arranged or attendee owned, attendee shall pay for any towing / transportation costs involved in moving the vehicle back to Leh.
    • Any damage caused to the vehicle, whether Tata Motors arranged or attendee owned, during the drive because of accidents, negligence, natural causes shall be solely borne by the attendee and The Blueberry Trails /Direxions/ TML shall accept no claim and responsibility for any damages and/or expenses suffered by the attendee/vehicle.
    • Fuel and toll charges would have to be borne by the attendees for their own vehicle or the Tata Motors arranged vehicles.
    • Attendees will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed timetable for the day so the drive can be completed within the defined schedule. In case any of the sightseeing schedules are missed due to delays caused by the attendee or for any other reasons, the same shall not be refunded to the client under any circumstances.
  4. Conditions of Package
    • The aforesaid conditions shall be applicable to every attendee who books the package for the drive with The Blueberry Trails /Direxions/ TML.
    • The attendees shall follow all the instructions of the designated group leader appointed during the Drive. Any actions of the attendee in deviation to the group leader’s instructions may expose him/her and others to potential dangers and the disobedient attendee shall be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage caused to other attendees.
    • The attendees shall follow the package itinerary. There shall be no refund, if the attendee fails to join the group at the appointed time of commencement of the SOUL Iconic Leh Drive or join the group later or leave the group before the culmination of the drive. Please note that for all purposes, it shall be the responsibility of the client to reach the place of commencement of the drive and register with the representative of The Blueberry Trails /Direxions /TML at the appointed place on the given date and time.
    • In case a client along with his family is compelled to discontinue the drive due to any reason whatsoever including illness, death or loss of any travel documents, no claim shall be entertained for refund of unutilized services. Further, attendee shall pay for any towing / transportation costs involved in moving the vehicle back to Leh. Even if a client is unable to reach the place of commencement of the drive due to any reason whatsoever including loss of baggage or loss of travel documents, his booking shall be treated as "no show" on the drive and 100% cancellation charges will be levied.
    • Attendees shall follow a strict no alcohol consumption policy while on the drive.
    • The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML reserves the right to withdraw tour membership of any client whose behaviour is deemed likely to affect the smooth operation of the outbound tour or adversely affect the enjoyment or safety of other passengers and The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML shall be under no liability to any such expelled person/s.
    • Aspects of the trip like accommodation & food where mentioned in the package are being managed solely by The BlueBerry Trails. TML will not be responsible for the same. For any queries, please contact Ms Sudeepta Sanyal (+91 9820925721).
  5. Health & Insurance
    • It shall be the duty of the attendee to inform The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML in case the attendee has any medical history or prescribed restrictions/allergies that may affect his ability to enjoy and pursue fully the drive and wherein the interest of the group or any member thereof is prejudicially affected.
    • In the event that a medical condition has been disclosed, The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML shall make an effort to provide basic medical help to such attendee but under no circumstances shall The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML be held liable to any injury, disability, death, sickness etc., that the attendee may suffer or be bound to provide any emergency assistance or refund the money.
    • The tour cost does not include costs towards the insurance premium. Hence, it is advisable that the clients obtain appropriate accidental/tourist insurance cover at their own costs.
  6. Refunds & Cancellation
    • Refunds if any for amendments and / or cancellation will be paid directly to the attendee for bookings made
      • Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to the start of the journey are eligible for a 75% refund of the trip amount
      • Cancellations made between 30-45 days prior to the start of the journey will be eligible for a 50% refund of the trip amount
      • Cancellations made between 30 days prior to the start of the journey will not be eligible for a refund
    • Refunds to attendees will be largely governed by the above-mentioned terms and conditions.

      Cancellation requests will be accepted on working days, except Sunday. Any cancellation sent on public Holiday or Sunday will be considered on next working day
  7. Liability
    • The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML shall not be responsible and / or liable for any damages caused to the client due to reasons beyond the control of The Blueberry Trails /TML (Force Majeure / Vis Major / Acts of God).
    • The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML shall not be responsible for the temporary or permanent loss of or damage to baggage or personal effects howsoever caused including wilful negligence on the part of any person.
    • The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML shall not be responsible for any death, personal injury, sickness, accident, loss, delay, discomfort, increased expenses, consequential loss and/or damage or any kind of theft howsoever caused.
  8. Law & Jurisdiction
    • For all complaints, suits, claims or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any service providers, the attendees shall raise claims and disputes in accordance with the jurisdiction provided by the service provider policy. Whereas, for any claims, suits, complaints or disputes for service confining to the Soul Iconic Drive and service provided by Direxions Marketing/ The Blueberry Trails /TML the courts and tribunals in Mumbai, India alone shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
  9. Indemnity
    • The attendees agree to hold The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML and its officers, directors, representatives, agents, contractors harmless and indemnified against any loss, damage, claim, suit, compensation, attorney expenses, criminal prosecution, Order of Court arising out of any injury, damage, loss to life and property of any third party including but not limited to individuals, government bodies, corporate entities, etc., due to direct or indirect acts of negligence, default, omission and commission on the part of the attendee before the conclusion of the Drive.
  10. Force Majeure
    • Neither party shall be held liable for damages or deficiency in service or loss, injury, expense, etc., in the event of the Drive being delayed or cancelled or aborted after commencing due to any force majeure/vis major/ Acts of God event including but not limited to natural calamities, prohibition orders, local unrest, traffic jams, medical emergency, accidents, etc., The Blueberry Trails/Direxions /TML shall be under no obligation to resume the Drive on the situation having normalized after the Force Majeure event.
  11. Sharing of Personal Data
    • By participating in the SOUL Iconic Leh Drive: Mountain Trail, August 2018, I hereby unconditionally and irrevocably agree to allow Tata Motors Limited and/or its subsidiaries/authorized dealers/business partners/affiliates/service providers to use my name and / or photograph and/or video and/or Audio for advertising or promotions related activities without demanding any compensation under any circumstances whatsoever from Tata Motors Limited and/or its subsidiaries/authorized dealers/business partners/affiliates/service providers.
